The only classes of their kind in Perth, Sugar Blue Burlesque classes and short courses are energetic and fun, plus they're perfect for all ages, shapes and sizes, no experience needed!

Classes are for all ages and are for half an hour each with a special taster class price of only $5 per class!
No bookings necessary! Just show up!

What to Wear

Loose, cool, comfortable clothing. Bring along a bottle of water and a towel.
If you are taking the charleston class, comfortable flat shoes you can dance in with slippery soles are best.
Heels can be worn if you are doing the Burlesque Bump and Grind class, but not essential.
Flat shoes, gogo boots or sneakers are recommended for the 1960s gogo class.

Latin Dancing for Burlesque with Coco Poppin

Latin dance styles are sexy, sassy and plenty of fun! Learn how to put a little Latino into your Burlesque- whether it's quirky or steamy, this unique style will have you calling for your Cabana boy and sipping Mojitos in no time!

1920s Charleston

The Charleston was the dance that captured the spirit of the 1920s, and it's also experiencing a huge revival around the world today. It's energetic, upbeat and danced to toe-tapping hot jazz. In this class you will learn the Charleston basics guaranteed to bring out your inner flapper.

1960s Go-Go Dance with Coco Poppin

Workup a sweat and have a blast doing it! The ladies at Sugar Blue Burlesque just love 1960s go-go dancing! Plus, it's the workout craze taking the world by storm! The wild, upbeat music is guaranteed to get your toes tapping in this energetic class, and in no time you'll be doing the Monkey, the Wahtusi, the Swim, the Hully Gully, the Mashed Potato,the Twist and many more! If you love to dance or even if you have two left feet, come along and get fit the fun way, then hit the dance floor in style!

Hoola Hooping with Clara Cupcakes

Work those neglected core muscles with the amazing Clara Cupcakes, as she shows you her spectacular hoola hooping techniques. Don't worry about being "hoop challenged"- at the end of this half hour you should be twirling like an old pro!

Burlesque, Bump & Grind with Sapphire Demure

Burlesque is the hottest trend in town, bringing together a sizzling dance style with elaborate vintage costumes, cool retro tunes and a lot of sassy fun! Drop in to this class any week, to learn how to be a total glamour queen, how to walk (even in sky-high heels!) and how to exude confidence and sex appeal! And of course, you'll learn all the fundamentals of burlesque dance! You'll shimmy, shake, undulate, bump,grind, wiggle,jiggle, twirl and swirl your way through the classic burlesque moves. Not only will you walk away with a few new moves for the boudoir, but this is also a great workout! So come down and learn to shape up, the way showgirls do it!

Showgirl Dance with Showgirl Satine

It's time for glitz, glamour and a lot of razzle dazzle! Showgirl dancing is the ultimate girly fantasy, with all the old-world glamour of the 1940s and 1950s! If you've ever wanted to be a Rockette, a Vegas showgirl or steal the spotlight on Broadway, then this is the class is for you!
