Course Description

The Charleston was the dance that captured the spirit of the 1920s, and it's also experiencing a huge revival around the world today. It's energetic, upbeat and danced to toe-tapping hot jazz. In this six week course you will learn the Charleston and other 1920s dances, starting with the basics and working up to advanced steps, guaranteed to bring out your inner flapper!

Over the six weeks, you will also learn a fun Charleston routine, and get the chance to perform it with the group at a Sugar Blue Burlesque live show!

What to Wear

Loose, cool, comfortable clothing and comfortable flat shoes you can dance in. Slippery soles are best. Bring along a bottle of water and a towel.

Restrictions

This course is for guys and girls, all ages welcome.

No experience whatsoever is needed to take the course, it's perfect for all ages, shapes and persuasions! All levels of skill can be catered to, whether you're a dancer/actor/performer or have never taken a dance class in your life!

$140 for the course (including GST)
